Roni was a clown as a puppy and it seems that the age is not really changing that attitude... regardless of what is happening around him. He spent the early years with Samuli and Tiina Lukkarinen and for the last years he has been living with Hanne Juutinen and enjoying the show career again.... even that the best part is definitely the one when he can carry the rousette...
Roni matured quite slowly, but it was all the time clear that he will be the star of the litter. His expression, movements and attitude have been great. He can be a real pig in the show ring as he definitely will enjoy to run extremely fast in the rings and then go and say hello to Hanne Mummy... and if not prepared for this the poor handler will be hanging in the ring´s string fences.
He was one of the fastest relay dogs I have ever seen.
He has collected quite a few Champion and Winner titles over the years and became sujet recommandé in French National 1999. He is a multiple Group placer and winner. In the veteran class he has been taking placements up to BIS1 veteran.
When Roni was entered to the Stockholm World Winner 2008 we were naturally thinking of veteran class for a 12+ years old male. There is always the VWW-title (Veteran World Winner) available. After thinking for a while and remembering that his mother Ida got RCACIB in the Wold Winner in Helsinki... so close but still so far that time. We decided for the Champion class - even that there is dogs in their prime. Gamble was worth it. Roni got CACIB and became amazingly a World Winner.
Roni has been like a excellent wine where age just brings more flavour and aroma.
After amazing year 2008 we felt that there is nothing to gain anymore in the field of dog shows and Roni retired from the rings. He enjoys the life at home and his sons and daughters in three continents will carry on in the show rings.
